65th Senior Amateur Championship

Registration Opens: April 1 at 9:00am

 

Registration Closes: July 22 at 5:00pm

 

Registration Fee: $185 per player (includes range fees, lunches and prizes). Carts are not included and must be paid for before the first round.

 

Format: 36-holes Individual Stroke Play over two days

 

Eligibility: Open to male amateur players who are members of a PAGA Member Club or PAGA Individual Members who are residents of the State of Pennsylvania. All players must have a USGA Handicap Index of 10.4 or lower.

 

Divisions:  Senior Division (55-64 years of age) & Super-Senior (65 & older years of age). The Senior Division will play from approximately 6,600 yards. The Super-

Senior Division will play from approximately 6,000 yards. 

 

Field: Limited to 144 Players. 32 spots will be reserved for Super-Senior participants. At the entry deadline, after exempt entries, all other entries will be accepted based upon a first-come-first serve basis. 

 

Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is permitted. Players may walk and carry their bag or have their bag carried via a caddie. To request a Llanerch caddie please contact Llanerch Caddie Manager, Chris Wright at cwright@llanerchcc.org

 

Food & Beverage: A lunch buffet will be provided each day of competition from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.

 

Practice Roundspractice rounds will be available on July 27th and August 3rd from 3:00 – 4:00. Practice round fee will be $75 including the golf cart.

 

Hotel: TBD 

 

Pairings: Players will be in threesomes in 10 minute intervals. First round results will determine second round pairings. Super Seniors will play first on day two while Senior leaders will play in the afternoon.

 

Start Times: The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry form will determine pairings and tee times. 

 

Ties: In the event of a tie for the Championship and Super-Senior Division, there will be a sudden death playoff immediately following play. All other ties will be broken via the USGA Scorecard Tiebreaker Method.

 

Prizes: The individual with the lowest gross score after 36 holes will be declared the Senior and Super-Senior Champion. Additional prizes will be awarded to the Top 10 Seniors and top 5 Super-Seniors.

 

Prizes will also be awarded to the team (members of the same club, same division) that post the best two scores of three for the two competition rounds.

 

Weather: Should weather delay play beyond the end of day Tuesday, August 6, the competition will not be extended and the championship will be shortened to 18-holes.
