Welcome to the Seniors County Championship Event
The Seniors Championship is a 36 hole scratch stroke play event, and will be played at Longhirst Hall Golf Club on 12 June 2024.
(FOR PLAYERS OF 55 YEARS AND OVER WITH A HANDICAP INDEX LIMIT OF 20.
Players with a handicap index higher than 20 may enter but must play from a handicap index of 20 ).
THE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE PADDY BAKER ROSE BOWL - Best gross score over 36 holes. In the event of a tie after 36 holes, there will be a 3 hole play off on holes 1, 2 and 18, where the player with the lowest aggregate score will be the winner. If there is no winner, there will be a sudden death play off over the same holes, until a winner is found.
Qualifying consists of 18 holes stroke play on Wednesday 12 June and the the top 15 gross scores qualify for the 2nd round on the Thursday 13 June 2024. If there is a tie for 15th place it will be decided on countback.
THE RICHARD JOHNSON TROPHY - Best gross score for the over 65’s.
TIM BULL CUP - Best net score over the 1st 18 holes.
THE MICHAEL FLEMING SALVER is for the Matchplay Championship, where the top eight players in the Seniors Championship qualify to play in the Matchplay Championship.
The Matchplay stages will be a straight knockout and the quarter final matches are to be arranged between the 8 qualifiers, and played at Longhirst Hall Golf Club, who are providing courtesy for the matches. They must be played by no later than 28 June 2024.
The Semi final and final will be played on Sunday 7 July at Longhirst Hall Golf Club.
