81st Junior Boy's Championship

Event Overview
Registration Opens: March 30 at 9:00am
Registration Closes: June 10 at 5:00pm
Registration Fee: $130 per player (includes range fee, lunches and prizes)
Format: 54-holes individual stroke play, two-day event. Full field plays 18-holes on day 1, Cut to low 60 and ties for 36-holes on day 2.
Eligibility: Open to any amateur male player who is a member of a Member Club or an Individual Member of Pennsylvania Golf Association. All players must not have reached their 19th birthday by June 25.
Divisions: Boys Ages 14-18 will play the East Course (approx. 6,750 yards).
Field: Limited to 132 players. The top-30 players from the 2023 earn exemptions into the championship if eligible. Entries will then be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A wait list will be established to accommodate any overflow in entries.
Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is prohibited. A player may NOT utilize a caddie who is over the age of 18. Parents, stepparents, grandparents and guardians are not permitted to caddie.
Spectator Carts: Spectator carts are not permitted.
Food & Beverage: A lunch buffet will be provided each day of competition from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.
Practice Rounds: Hershey Country Club will allow practice rounds on Sunday, June 23rd after 10:00am. Players are asked to call the golf shop at (717) 533-2464 , 30 days in advance in order to secure their time. The practice round rate is $65 walking and $90 riding. Hershey CC accepts Credit Card and cash as acceptable forms of payments.
Hotel: TBD
Pairings: Play will be in threesomes at 10-minute intervals. First-round results will determine second round pairings.
Start Times: The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry form, will determine pairings and tee times.
Ties: In the event of a tie for the Junior Boys’ Championship, there will be a sudden-death playoff immediately following the conclusion of play. For flag award presentation only, ties will be broken by matching scorecards in accordance with USGA guidelines.
In the Junior Boys’ Team Championship, the fourth score will be added to the total team score. Teams with only three players will suffer defeat against a team with four players for failure to have a tiebreaker score.
Prizes: The individual with the lowest gross score after 54 holes will be declared the Junior Champion.
The Boys’ team competition is the best 3 of 4 scores on day 1. The teams with the lowest total score after 18-holes will be declared the Junior Team Champions. The winning teams will be awarded individual prizes.
