Practice Round / Vouchers |
Teams may avail of one complimentary practice round for 7 players Additional practice rounds on other dates are subject to availability at Athlone Golf Club and a green fee rate of €30 will apply. |

Practice Facilities |
Practice facilities at Athlone: Short game areas right of the 1st tee alongside the 12th fairway and right of the 4th green. Own balls required at short game area Practice putting green adjacent to 1st tee. Driving Range is approx. 3kms away – Eircode N37 FN53 Contact No. 087 700 6587 / sales@progolf.ie Ball dispensing machine at range. |

Team Sheets |
Team Sheets may be submitted on the day before matches up to 6pm . You are required to submit your team sheet for all matches no later than 45 minutes before play in that match is due to commence – the order of play will be published following this deadline and cannot be amended thereafter save for exceptional circumstances as set out in the General Regulations. Teams must be submitted on the Official Team Sheet, which can be downloaded from the Team Sheets section of the Club Hub. |

Car Parking |
Team panels will be given priority in main car park where possible. An overflow car park will be available – adjacent to the Hodson bay hotel |

Local Rules |
Golf Ireland’s HARD CARD is in operation. The local rules on the club scorecard will not apply. Any additional local rules will be advised to teams by the starter. |

Referees |
Referees will be situated throughout the course to give rulings when required. These referees will also be monitoring the pace of play. Should players fall out of position, they will be timed and may be penalised for bad times. Please advise players of the need to play at a steady pace. |

Catering |
It is essential that teams communicate any catering requirements they have in advance by contacting the club. All catering costs must be paid each day by teams. |

Terms of Competition (Regulations) |
It is essential that you familiarise yourself with the Terms of Competition, which can be found within the team sheets online HERE To be read in conjunction with the Generic Regulations in the Golf Ireland Handbook 2024 HERE As per the GI Hard Card, a Team Captain may consult with and give advice to the members of his team during the course of play but may not walk onto the putting green or point out a line for putting. Please note that only one individual may be appointed for such purposes. |

Transportation Policy (Buggies) |
Golf Ireland’s Transportation Policy will be strictly enforced. Please note that this Policy intends to facilitate players only with physical disabilities in allowing such individuals to use Golf Buggies. However, the use of a Golf Buggy will be subject to any health & safety restrictions laid down, and is not guaranteed in the event of course conditions not allowing such use, availability of buggy etc.
Submission of certification in person on the day of competition WILL BE SUFFICIENT TO BE ALLOWED TO USE A BUGGY. This should be submitted by Team Captain with Team Sheet.
Buggies will not be available for Team Captains / Managers unless they hold a Disability Certificate to use one.
