Men’s Normandy Cup Qualifier

Rules Sheet

Format:

  • Qualifier: 18-Hole Qualifier for Match Play, with low (31) NET scores moving on to Match Play
  • Match Play: Single Elimination

 

Tees (Tee If Forward Event):  White Tees

  • Those Teeing It Forward will have their handicap adjusted accordingly.
  • The tee you choose to play for the qualifier is the tee you must play from throughout the championship. 
    • Meaning, you can’t qualify from the White Tees and then play from the Yellow Tees (assuming you are eligible to Tee If Forward) for Match Play.

 

Handicap Allocation:

  • Qualifier: Individuals have received 95% of their current handicap (June 13 Revision)
  • Match Play: Individuals will receive 100% of their lowest handicap index from June 13 to current.  Strokes will be awarded off the low handicap in the match, with the lower handicap member playing at scratch (zero)will be awarded

 

Breaking Ties: Ties will be broken by a match of cards using the USGA Recommend Method; sum of holes 10-18,

sum of holes 13-18, etc.  If the match of cards doesn’t break the tie, a sudden death playoff will decide the winner.

The playoff will be on the 18th

 

Seeding: The defending champion, Alex Kang, has earned the #1 seed.  The remaining 31 spots will be filled using the breaking ties method above.  

 

Match Play Round Deadlines: Matches may be completed on or before the scheduled dates.  Individuals may schedule their matches in advance by contacting the Golf Shop.  If the match isn’t played prior to the deadline date, the professional staff will reserve a tee time on the deadline date; if a member isn’t available to play, he/she will forfeit the match.

  • Round of 32: Sunday, July 14
  • Round of 16: Sunday, August 25
  • Round of 8: Sunday, September 15
  • Round of 4: Sunday, October 6
  • Final Round:: Sunday, October 27

 

Scorecard Return: Upon the completion of your round, please return your cards to the Golf Shop.  Your score will

not be official until we have two signatures.  If there is an issue with the scorecard please do not sign the card and

see a member of the Professional Staff as soon as possible. 

 

Pace of Play: Our pace of play for the event is 4 hours and 5 minutes.  Please make sure to keep up with the group in front of you. 

 

Posting Scores: The Golf Staff will post all scores for this event.

 

Close of Competition: The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the trophy has been presented to the

winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been posted on the club scoreboard.
