About the STJGC Junior Leadership Program

 

• The Santa Teresa Junior Leadership Program strives to create fun and engaging events for the members of the Santa Teresa Junior Club, while also developing the leadership skills of more experienced members in the club. Those on the leadership team have had years of experience playing in junior tournaments as well as on their own school teams. Throughout the year, the Junior Leadership team will be creating events to help spread the game of golf and to help junior club members build up their skills and experience. Leadership members will also learn the importance of organization, budgeting and social skills in executing successful events.

Past Events

• 100 Hole Hike - The STGC leadership group partnered with Youth on Course in order to raise over 12,000 towards supporting junior golf. 

• Skills Clinic -  Taught basic fundamentals of putting, short game and full swing, & play on the 9-hole short course.

• DRIVE Club on course event - Introduced 30 new golfers to one of their first ever rounds. By serving as a mentor, each leader was able to bond, teach, and enjoy a time with other fellow junior golfers.
