The Charity Classic is upon us.
Chairity Classic raises money for Humble Area Assistance Ministries and Invited Employee Care Foundation.
As in the past, the Clubs of Kingwood Golf Committee asks the leagues to donate money or items to create a Golf Basket for the silent auction held after the golf tournament. Any donations for the Golf Basket will be collected at Tuesdays sign up and then given to Kelly Paul. She is asking all donations be turned in by Tuesday the 9th.
Humble Area Assistance Ministries

Invited Employee Care Foundation
Your donations to the E.C.F. assist those people you connect with when you visit the club. The Foundation helps those individuals in the midst of crises such as home loss, death, illness, as well as domestic situations.

Marsh course credit requirement is deleted
Due to the Marsh course closing permanently, Marsh course credit is no longer required to be eligible for Year End Awards. So only 6 course credits will be needed this year.
KWGA18: 2 each on Island, Lake, Forest
There is still time to get in your course credits.
Many ladies need just one or two more course credits. Sign up to play so you can earn your course credits!

Interclub Team Results through August
Whoo Hoo! Team Kingwood is leading Interclub after 5 playdays and with 3 more to go. January and July were cancelled and August cut short due to weather so no team points were counted. (It truly has been quite the weird year for golf!)
Next Interclub at Bentwater on Friday September 13
Signup closes NOON, Saturday Sept 7
Please Shut the Restroom doors!
The restrooms on our courses have all been renovated. Ladies, aside from being an unsightly image on the course when the door is open, it’s an open invitation to wildlife, insects and various critters to make it their home. Let’s keep the restrooms neat, clean and safe by simply keeping the doors closed at all times. So, if you see that a restroom door is open, please take a moment to go close it. If you are using the restroom, close the door behind you. Pass the word to our fellow golfers to keep our restroom doors closed.
Pace of Play
Pace of Play is especially important on our league days now that we are sharing the course with other leagues or with the general membership.
Save time by playing “Ready” Golf!
Save time by playing a provisional ball if you think your original ball might be lost or out of bounds. Always have extra balls in your pocket. Do not look for a lost ball more than the allotted 3 minutes. Your provisional ball should be distinguishable from your original ball.
