Where do you stand with your course credits?
To be eligible for Year-End Awards you must play each course twice on Ringered Playdays. How many course credits have you earned so far this year?
You can keep track of your course credits on Golf Genius:
Go to Member Portal,
Results,
Player Analytics,
In Select a Division, select All Golfers,
In Series: use drop-down to select All Ringered Rounds, and then very important to hit Go.
Scroll down to your name and select.
It will then list all the Ringered games you have played this year.
Note for some you have to hit the “i” to see what course was played.
Also in Series, You could select each Ringered course individually, but all Ringererd provides you the comprehensive list.
There are still many Playdays left in the year so keep signing up to play!
Note: We have discovered that the Feb 6 round on the Island is not showing up in Player Analytics. We are working to get that corrected! So you may have an Island course credit that currently does not show there (though it is showing up as a Ringered date in the Leaderboard). Will let you know once corrected.
You can follow your Ringers status.
You can keep track of your Ringer scores in Golf Genius:
Go to Member Portal,
Results,
Tournament Leaderboards,
In Select a Date, select a round on a course that you want to check (usually better to select a Tuesday playday so your name will show up)
Then select the Ringers option. Scroll down to your name and select.
The very top row shows your Ringers for that course so far.
The rows below show your Ringered Playdays and your best gross score so far is circled.
Go back to Select a Date, to select a round on a different course that you want to check.
Saturday Play
If you can’t play on Tuesday, Saturday Play is a great way to still get in a course credit.
If you are interested in being on (or off) the distribution list for playing on Saturday, email Kakie Palmer at kakiepalmer@gmail.com.
In order to play "legal" so that your score counts towards Year End awards and to receive course credit, you did not participate in the previous Tuesday playday (which includes starting but then withdrawing). There will need to be two "legal" players in a division (18 or 9) to count as a KWGA official Saturday Playday. Otherwise, you can play just for fun.
Reply to Kakie’s email by midnight Thursday (this will allow Chris time to print the Golf Genius scorecards and record nonlegal players on the tee time sheet.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to play or you will need to invoke the 2 stroke penalty rule for late arrivals.
Calendar Look-Ahead for the 18-Hole League
Tuesday July 9: “Blind Partners” on Island*.
Tuesday July 16: NO KWGA PLAYDAY

Is this a Rule?
If you have holed, is there a penalty for not taking your ball out of the hole before next player attempts to hole their ball?
No, it is a common curtesy to take your ball out of the hole before another player putts, but it is not a requirement under the rules.
A ball that is holed is no longer in play and it becomes a movable obstruction.
Millie Stewart
Received word that Millie Stewart has passed away. She was a KWGA member for many years and played in 18 and 9 hole league. If anyone has any information from her family if there is a service let me know and I will pass along to the group.
