Tournament Information

 

Entries open: Members-June 18, 2018 (8 pm) and non-members-June 25, 2018 (8 pm)

Entry deadline: July 20, 2018

Format: Individual 18-hole stroke play

Eligibility: Juniors who are 12-18 years of age as of July 30, 2018 and have not started college.

Acceptance: Priority is given to junior residents from Wake County or any county adjacent to Wake (Franklin, Granville, Durham, Chatham, Harnett, Johnston or Nash) on a first come first serve basis.  If field is not full (105), then juniors from outside of counties are accepted on a first come first serve basis.

Divisions: Boys’14-15, Boys’ 16-18, Boys’ 12-13, Girls’ 12-13 and Girls’ 14-18.

Number of players: 105

Starting times: 10:00 am shotgun

Electronic Measuring Devices:  Players may use an approved range finder during this event.

Caddies: Players must walk at all times, but may use a caddy.  Caddies must be 18 years of age or younger (no exceptions) and must walk at all times.

SAS Junior Club Championship: The SAS Junior Club Championship competition is held in conjunction with the tournament. Teams of three or four competitors from the same club comprise a team. The low three scores count for the team score.

Prizes: Trophies are awarded to the top three places in each division.  SAS Junior Club Championship trophy is presented to the winning team to be displayed at their club.

Withdrawals: If you cannot compete in the event, you must withdraw from the event by contacting the TYGA office at 910-673-1000 prior to the day of the tournament.  If you do not withdraw properly, you are considered a "no show" and you will be suspended from TYGA events for 1 year.

Range fees:  TYGA will pay range fees on the day of event.

Practice Round: Contact the course for practice rounds.

Pull carts: This course does allow pull carts and they may be used during the competition.

Spectator Carts:  Spectator carts will be available to rent at $25 per cart. Spectator carts must remain on the cart path at all times.

Tournament of Champions: Invitations for the Tournament of Champions will be extended to all division winners in each TYGA one day series events. The Tournament of Champions will be held at The Neuse GC in Clayton, NC on August 21-22, 2018.

Parent policy:  Parents are encouraged to follow their child(ren).  We do ask that all parents remain on the cart path (roughs if no cart paths), unless assisting with the search for a golf ball.

Refund policy: A $20 administrative fee will be charged to all withdrawals.

Course: Tournament will be played on the same course as the Champions Tour SAS Championship which is a hybrid of the Highlands and Meadows courses.

Parents and guests are welcome to have lunch, but are asked to pay $15 for their meal.
