PROVINCIAL TEAM ELIGIBILITY
The top three (3) finishers in each division will comprise the Women's Amateur Team NS and Women's Senior Team NS.
For 2024 and due to the timing of Canadian Women's Mid-Amateur Championship (July 11-13, 2024), a qualifier event will be held to make Team NS and fill the quota spots. The Team Trial is listed on our competitions pages as a separate event.
Process for Fielding the Women's Amateur Team Nova Scotia:

Exhaust the Women’s Amateur field to field a Team.

If a team is not fielded by the Amateur roster, there will be an application process for the remaining quota spots if there are quota spots remaining. Applications may come from Junior girls attending Junior Girls Nationals, or mid-amateurs may apply.

If someone is awarded a Team Nova Scotia spot through an application, they will receive funding.

An application will be available Tuesday, June 25.
A team member must be a resident of Nova Scotia and a member in good standing of Golf Canada and Golf NS. Golf NS requires players to have a Nova Scotia Health Card as proof of residency.
In the event of a tie for either the Championship, a team position or a quota spot a sudden-death victory playoff will be held. Playoff details will be provided within the event's Notice to Competitors.
Golf Nova Scotia will adhere to the deadlines provided by Golf Canada. Team positions and quota spots will only be filled with players who have registered for the corresponding Canadian Championship. Please see the Championship registration, refund policy and withdrawal details on the Golf Canada Website.
CANADIAN WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Golf NS has been awarded three (3) quota spots for this event. These positions will be awarded to the top 3 placements of the 2024 Golf NS Women's Amateur Championship. TEAM NS GEAR PACKAGE: The 6 players who comprise the Women's Amateur Team NS and Women's Senior Team NS will be given a gear package from Golf NS.
National Championships Calendar
PROVINCIAL TEAM FUNDING
Golf NS will provide financial assistance, to all players representing Team Nova Scotia at the Canadian Women's National Championships (max 3 person per team). Funding is based on the location of the respective national championship.
The funding breakdown is as follows:

NS / NB / PE - $437.50 per team member

NL / ON / QC - $875 per team member

SK / MB / AB - $1312 per team member

BC - $1750 per team member
Team members will be responsible for all tournament registration and travel requirements. Once a team member successfully completes the national championship, the funding support will be issued by the Golf NS office. The team member must not be disqualified from the Championship as a result of conduct and making the cut is not required to receive the funding.
