NEW FOR 2023:
ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A VALID INDIANA GOLF ID NUMBER. It doesn’t have to be from Wood Wind. Monday & Wednesday Leagues are moving to our Golf Genius tournament software, so you won’t have a separate handicap for Men’s League. Any players without a handicap will receive -0- strokes for their match. You are welcome to pay $30/person to activate a handicap, or use a handicap from a different course.
PLEASE NOTE: BY 12 NOON ON THE DAY OF LEAGUE, THE GOLF STAFF WILL NEED TO KNOW WHICH 2 INDIVIDUALS ARE PLAYING IN THE 6PM SHOTGUN.
MEN’S CLUB FORMAT
The Men’s Club at Wood Wind plays includes 3 different 9-Hole Leagues (One Monday & Two Wednesday, each Shotgun Starts @ 6:00 p.m.) and a combined Saturday tournament schedule.
LEAGUES
The Monday League will consist of 22 Teams of 2-5 players, and Wednesday Nights will have two leagues of 22 teams each (American & National Leagues). Two players from each team participate in the match each week. Teammates not participating in the official match are welcome to participate in the weekly games and sub for other teams. Two points are available per hole…18 points per match.
MEN’S CLUB FEES
$400/team. Fees are used to pay for use of Golf Genius tournament software, the year-end banquet dinner, regular season and playoff payouts, prize pool for weekly games, and Saturday Men’s Club tournaments.
INDIVIDUALS
Individuals may join the Men’s Club. With your $125.00 entry, you may play as a substitute, participate as an extra in the weekly games, and play in the weekend tournaments.
DATES/TIME
The Monday League will start April 17th and the Wednesday League will begin April 19th. Both nights will have a 6:00 pm shotgun start. The regular season will conclude in mid-September with the final playoff matches and banquet taking place in late September. Starting time will be adjusted for sunset during the playoffs, along with the possibility of added rain dates.
NO SHOW & SUB POLICY
If you need one sub for the week, your sub will be docked strokes based on their handicap. Subs are not guaranteed, please call the golf shop in advance if you know your team will need a sub. If two subs are required for your team, you will receive no points for the week.
GREEN FEES & WEEKLY GAME
$34.00 per night includes golf and cart. The weekly game of Team Low Net is included in the $400 League entry Fee, as well as a Low Gross Team winner each week! Skins & Closest To The Pin is $10.00 cash per team. There will be a year- long Hole-In-One pot of $20 per person that you can sign up for at any point in the golf shop.
PLAYOFFS
The top 10 teams in each league (American, National, & Monday) will make the playoffs, plus two wildcard teams (32 teams total). The Monday/Wednesday combined playoff dates will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 14th, at 5:45 p.m. (barring any rain dates).
SATURDAY TOURNAMENTS
The Men’s Club will hold numerous 18-hole events with unique and fun formats, as well as a year- long individual match play. The tournament schedule includes individual, 2-man team, and 4-man team events.
WOOD WIND RYDER CUP
The Men’s Club Ryder Cup (season-long) points system is based on your Saturday Tournament participation. Format is 12 vs. 12 players in 3 different 9-hole matches over 27 holes.
