Welcome to the Men's Strokeplay 2024 .
This year we have migrated to Golf Genius for tournament management. This will allow you to register and pay for entry into this year's County Championships and it will also arrange a refund if you need to withdraw before the closing date. It will also be used on the day to manage the scoring and publication of results.
The entry fee for 2024 is £120 and it will be collected via Stripe, a card payment system integrated within Golf Genius. Courtesy of Royal Liverpool Golf Club this will include a practice round the day before the Championship on Wednesday 19th June.
The Championship has a maximum field of 102. In the event that this number is exceeded there will be a ballot according to lowest handicaps at the date registration closes. There will be a reserve list for entrants who are balloted out, again based on handicaps.
The registration form will require a Membership Number (CDH) plus an email address, Date of Birth and Affiliation (Home Club). In addition, optional information includes Mobile Phone Number and handicap index. Having an email address and mobile number will allow for communication with you, particularly useful if there are any late changes to the event. Last year there was a situation when a major accident occurred near the host club causing disruption and another when an event was cancelled due to the heat. And adding a Date of Birth will allow us to set up the ‘age’ categories in advance for the appropriate competitions rather than on the day.
You may also like to consider downloading the Golf Genius App to your phone which will get you closer to the information relating to each competition - you log in with your email address and set your own password. The "GGID" that you may see mentioned is a Golf Genius ID code (MNCKYR) which can refer to individual competitions (or to even more specific information within a competition).
We look forward to seeing you at the Championship.

CUGC Tournament Director
