Additional Local Rules

Please see the Golf Ireland Hard Card which applies to this event. In addition to that document, t]8ie following Local Rules will apply:

1. Out of Bounds – When playing Hole 9, the far-side edge of the pathway is the defining line of the boundary.  

 

2. Model Local Rule B2.2 is in operation on Hole 2 (where a ball last crossed the edge of the red penalty area, the player has an additional option to drop the ball or another ball on the opposite side of the penalty area to that on which the ball last crossed).

 

3. All bridges are deemed to be inside the Penalty Area.

 

4. Seams of turf relief will only apply where the seam is broken or fractured. There is no relief in any case if interference only exists with the player’s stance.

 

5. The edge of all Penalty Areas is defined by their natural margin (ie, where the land naturally falls into the open water course, irrespective of whether there is any water therein).
