2024 Caguas Junior Open

Welcome to the PRJT 2024 Season Opener!

This year marks the PRJT 4th year of developing the next generation of golfers.

We a have a full schedule plan for this year, new venues, new events, and the same unparalleled passion and dedication that we have for our juniors.

Event Dates: Saturday, January 13, 2024 to Sunday, January 14, 2023.

Course: Caguas Real Golf & Country Club

Elegibility:

An open event for:

Boys & Girls 5 to 18 years old

Entry Requirements and Registration Deadline:

All registration must be completed through the Puerto Rico Junior Tour Golf Genius Portal

or by calling 787-307-9473.

Late entries will not be accepted.

Entry deadline: January 10, 2024 at 5:00 pm

FORMAT:

The 2024 Caguas Junior Open will play under USGA & R&A Rules of Golf and recently revised decisions.

Boys 16-18 | Boys 14-15 Divisions:
36 Hole Stroke Play Competition.

Each participant will play walking 18 holes per day. Caddies will not be allowed in these divisions

Girls 14-18 Divisions:

36 Hole Stroke Play Competition

Each participant will play walking 18 holes per day. Caddies will not be allowed in these divisions

Boys 11-13 | Girls 11-13 Divisions:
36 Hole Stroke Play Competition.

Each participant will play walking 18 holes per day. Caddies will be allowed in these divisions

Prep Series Divisions: (11-13 | 14-18)

36 Hole Stroke Play Competition.

Each participant will play walking 18 holes per day. Caddies will be allowed in these divisions.

Boys & Girls 8-10 & Beginner Divisions:
An 18-hole Stroke Play Competition

Each participant will play walking 9 holes per day. Caddies are allowed in these categories.
A maximum score of Triple Bogey per hole has been established for this division.

Boys & Girls 5-7 Division:
A 12 hole Stroke Play Competition

Each participant will play 6 holes per day riding. Caddies are allowed in this division.

A maximum score of Triple Bogey has been established for this division.

TEES:

Boys 16-18: GOLD

Boys 14-15: BLUE

Boys 11-13: WHITE

Girls 14-18: BLUE/WHITE

Girls 11-13: RED

Beginners 14 to 18: WHITE TEES

Beginners 13 & Under: PRJT TEES

Boys & Girls 8-10: SPECIAL GOLD TEES

Boys & Girls 5-7: SPECIAL SILVER TEES

*Tournament committee reserves the right to modify event or division format.

CADDIES: Caddies will only be allowed in the following divisions:

Prep Series 11-13 | Beginners 13&Under | Boys & Girls 8-10 | Boys & Girls 5-7

Caddies must register at the registration tent or hole 1 tent prior to the round and must wear the caddie bib at all times during the stipulated round. If a player decides to switch caddies, the player must call a rules official and inform of the switch. Otherwise the player incurs in a general penalty for each hole the new caddies has been with the player.

Green Reading:

Caddies in the Boys & Girls 11-13 divisions | Prep Series 11-13 and Prep 14-18 divisions will not be allowed on the putting surface once the player reaches the surface of the green.

REFUND POLICY
Open date to one (1) week prior to Championship date:
Full refund minus $95.00 USD administrative fee regardless of reason.

Withdraw during the week of the Championship date, late arrival, no-show:

NO REFUND FOR ANY REASON.

AWARDS:

The Winner, the Runner-up, and the Second Runner Up for each division will be awarded right after all participants of the division conclude their final round and the scores are officially certified by the Tournament Committee.

Beginner Divisions | Boys & Girls 8-10 | Boys & Girls 5-7 :

The, Winners, Runner Up, Second Runner Up, Fourth and Fifth Place finishers will be awarded after all participants of the division conclude their final round and the scores are officially certified by the Tournament Committee.
