Cheshire TaylorMade Team Championship 2023

 

Club Qualifying Competition


1. The qualifying round will consist of a three-woman team game, two best stableford scores to count over 18 holes, and must be played from a measured course with a Standard Scratch Score on a date between 1 January – 3 rd August 2023.

 

2. Handicap allowance – each player receives 85% of their course handicap allowance. The competition is open to all players who have a WHS index of 45.4 or less.

 

3. There must be a minimum of 8 teams playing (24 participants) in the club qualifying round. Clubs with a very small ladies section may enter with a smaller number of teams but at least 50% of their playing
members must compete. Teams may compete on an alternate day e.g. at a weekend or you can run the competition over a week. The aim is to give as many players the chance to compete. Juniors who have a
WHS index of 45.4 or less may compete.

 

4. Competitors must register their intention to compete in the tournament by entering their names before playing, using a manual sign in process or through the club’s system.

 

5. Members of more than one club may compete in the qualifying round at each club where they are a member.


6. The winning team will be the team of three with the highest number of stableford points.

 

7. In the event of a tie the winners will be decided on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes of the round. If a tie still arises it will be decided on the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes of the first nine holes of the round.

 

8. The winning club teams will progress to the grand-final at Prestbury if they are in the top 24 highest scores in the competition. If there is a tie for 24th place the club submitting the most money will go forward to
the final.

 

9. Those clubs not progressing to the final will receive a sleeve of TaylorMade golf balls and a Cheshire memento presented at the AGM at Vale Royal Abbey on November 27 th at 11am.

 

10. Entry to the grand-final to be held at Prestbury on Sunday 3rd September 2023 will be complimentary should the team qualify. All successful teams will be contacted.

2. Entries are to be made by submitting the official results sheet along with
payment for all teams submitted via this Golf Genius Registration.
