Some key points from the March 12 Seminar:
- The seminar covered guidance on searching for balls, playing the ball as it lies, what to do if the ball moves, preparing for and making strokes, and advice/help from caddies
- Players must play the ball as it lies unless a rule allows moving it (e.g. for relief from obstructions)
- If a ball moves, determine the cause and any penalties - natural forces, player/caddy, opponent, outside influence
- Players can't improve conditions like lie, line of play before shots
- Caddies can help with many things but not aim/advise during shots or stand in restricted areas
