INFORMATION
NEW GROOVE CONDITION OF COMPETITION: The player’s clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in the Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010.
You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

GAM DRESS CODE: Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars. Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted. Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.
GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.
FOOD: The halfway house will have food available for purchase.
CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants may carry their own bag or bring their own caddie. Carts are not permitted for players or caddies. Pull carts may be used if the host club allows them.
SPECTATOR CARTS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN USGA QUALIFIERS
PLAYOFF: In case of ties, there will be a playoff immediately following play for the final spot as well as the order for the two (2) alternate positions. It is the responsibility of the player to be present and ready to play when called to the tee for a playoff.
WITHDRAWAL: If you must withdraw, please contact the USGA at (908) 234-2300 leading up to the tournament. If you must withdraw the night or weekend before then, please contact the GAM office at tournaments@gam.org. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future USGA and GAM competitions.
