Ringer Tournament
The best (Net and Gross) individual score (so shambles, scrambles, alternate shot etc. do not count) on each hole during the season is scored to create a best 18-hole score (Net & Gross) for the 2024 season.
The Ringer Tournament will be flighted based on handicaps. Breakdown of flights, prize money and rules will be determined based on the number of golfers who sign up. More to come…
Challenge Coin
This has been created as an additional means to create interaction and competition between members beyond normal tournaments. You can purchase 1 to 4 coins to start the season and then challenge another member(s) to a Challenge Coin match (head on or scorecard) during a tournament, casual play or out on your own. A running total of coins won and lost is kept with payouts (and bragging rights) at the conclusion of our season. Full Challenge Coin Rules and Payouts
Match Play
Go head-to-head against fellow RCMC members in our annual Match Play season long event. Each participant is guaranteed two matches, after which it is a “win or go home” outcome. The number of entries will determine the number of flights (brackets). Matches will be played with handicap considerations. Additional Match Play rules will be provided for all participants. Payouts will be awarded for championship and consolation performance.
Casual Play
Raccoon Creek Golf Course reserves 2 foursomes for RCMC members on Friday afternoons and 3 foursomes on Sunday morning. This is strictly a courtesy accommodation to the club as a result of our relationship with the course. The Friday tee times will most often be in the early 1 o’clock hour, but that is not a guarantee. The Sunday morning tee times are generally early in the first part of the season, around 9 o’clock, but tend to migrate a bit later as the season moves closer to fall. Invites for casual play will include the tee times in the invite. That way you will know what you are signing up for. Casual Play also includes cash games. This year we will have low net and skins for each casual play session. Each Player will contribute $20 to the prize pool. Your prize pool contribution will be collected by a designated person on the date of casual play. You must be present at the end of the day to collect any winnings.
InterClub
In 2023, RCMC returned to the Colorado Golf Association Team Interclub Tournamentafter a long hiatus. The Interclub was a great way to meet members of other clubs and play competitive golf outside of our own club. The Interclub is a season long match play tournament, where teams from Men’s Golf Clubs across Colorado compete against one another in a season-long tournament.
For 2024, Coloraod Golf Association determined they did not have the staffing or interest to continue the statewide interclub. RCMC is in contact with some of the other clubs near us to establish some interclub matches organized locally by us an the other clubs. Stay tuned for more information.
