ABOUT THE COURSE

 

Honored with the coveted "4-Star" rating from Golf Digest, Iron Horse Golf Course's stunning par-70, 6,700-yard championship layout was designed by golf course architect Dick Phelps to blend seamlessly with its picturesque setting among the rolling terrain of North Richland Hills.

Century-old oak, mesquite and cottonwood trees frame emerald Bermuda fairways and manicured greens, which traverse beneath a working railroad trestle - with numerous doglegs, two meandering creeks which come into play on 17 holes, and unique bunkering creating both strategic diversity and a breathtaking backdrop for golf. Adding to the charm and nostalgia of the course are three authentic caboose cars, which serve as on-course facilities.

Although consistently rated one of the toughest golf courses in the state of Texas by the Fort Worth Business Press, the course offers multiple tees on each hole, enabling golfers of all ages and abilities an opportunity to experience Phelps' design mastery.

FORMAT

18-hole stroke play championship.  All entries are on a first come, first served basis. A sudden death on-course playoff will be held to determine winners of any flight that is tied after 18 holes, weather and course availability permitting.
 

Entry Fee: $145

 

Field Size : 60 Players

 

Entry Deadline: Sunday March 3rd at 11:00 pm CST - there will a $20 late fee added to any registration that takes place after the entry deadline, subject to approval by the Tour Director

Includes: 18 holes of golf w/ cart, range balls, prize fund for top finishers (25-30%) in each flight, tournament setup & scoring

 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Registration / Check-In 9:30 am - 11:00 am
 

All participants must check-in with the tournament committee At least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled tee off time. Players will have the opportunity to enter into the optional $20 skins and/or $10 giant skins games (cash only) at this time.
 

Starting Times: 11:00 am

Starting times/pairings will typically be emailed to each participant and posted on the tournament webpage 48 hours in advance of the tournament.
 

Awards Ceremony: 3:00pm-6:00pm
