Welsh Women’s Amateur Championship – Player Information

July 30 – August 2, 2024

Format                            

36 Holes Stroke Play. Top 16 make it through to the Championship Matchplay knockouts, those that lose in the first round of the matchplay will go into the Valentine Plate

 

Tee Times                       

Tee times for the strokeplay rounds will be published via email and online here on Monday 22nd July.

Tee times for matchplay stages will be provided after subsequent rounds.

 

Close Tee Time Request

Those staying and travelling together may submit a close tee time request for the strokeplay stages. We will endeavour to accommodate these as best as possible, please submit the names of all players affected.

 

Parental Consent Forms

Any player who is under the age of 18 on day one of the Championship must complete an Online Parental Consent Form. Failure to do so may result in the player being withdrawn from the Championship

 

Withdrawals                   

Players withdrawing should email championships@walesgolf.org

 

Practice Round               

July 29th, book online here. Please note that the practice round is taking place after Round 1 of the Welsh Men’s Amateur Championship.   

 

Practice Facilities           

There is a full driving range on site, tokens for which can be purchased through the pro-shop. There is also a putting green and short game area.

 

Caddies & Spectators      

Caddies and spectators are allowed.

 

Catering                          

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. At player’s own expense.

 

Clubhouse & Pro Shop    

Open 1 hour prior to the start of each day’s play

On-course Championship Information and Scoring

Scorecards, Pin Positions and Local Rules to be collected at the 1st tee from the starter each morning. Live scoring to be completed by the players (one in each group) via smart phones.
