ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Carris Trophy is the English Boys' Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship and is open to golfers aged under 18 on the 1 January of the year of the championship, played by 72 holes of stroke play over four days.
144 competitors will play 18 holes on each of the first two days. After 36 holes the leading 60 competitors and all those tying for 60th place shall play a further 18 holes on the third day, followed by a re-draw and a final 18 holes on the fourth day.

Situated a mere seven miles from the Southport coast, founded in 1899, Ormskirk Golf Club offers a 6,533-yard, par-70 course over 125 acres. Previously the Old Deer Park of Lathom House, its easy-walking heathland feels well off the beaten track despite its proximity to the historic market town of Ormskirk.
Away from the traffic noise and hurly-burly of everyday life, the immaculate surroundings have been the venue for numerous Regional Open Qualifying events and County Matches.
